New Patients Welcome

We welcome new patients to our office. A referral is not needed. We treat patients of all ages and anxiety levels. For your first visit to our office we ask that you take a list of you medications with you. A complete review of your health will be done. Should you have had radiographs taken from another dentist within the past two years it would advantageous if they were obtained by our office prior to your first visit. With your permission we can have them forwarded to us.

At this visit we will assess your treatment needs and discuss your concerns. Should you wish to have hygiene services performed at this first visit please let us know in advance so that we can book the appropriate amount of time. If you would like to leave your insurance information with our team prior to your visit please feel free to do so as this will expedite your appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I visit the dentist regularly?

A number of people only see a dentist when they have a problem. Known as “crisis treatment”. It may feel they are saving money, but often ends up costing more because many dental issues do not show symptoms until they are in the advanced stages of the disease process.

Why should I floss, isn't brushing enough?

Brushing gets rid of some of the bacteria in your mouth but flossing gets rid of the bacteria your toothbrush can’t reach between your teeth. If this plaque is left, it eventually hardens into tartar. Once tartar forms only the hygienist or dentist can remove it.

How can I prevent cavities?

Brush two to three times a day for two to three minutes. You don’t need to brush too hard as it takes very little pressure to remove bacteria and plaque. Floss daily and limit the amount of sugar you consume. Make regular dental visits to ensure your oral health remains optimum.

What can I do about sensitive teeth?

Using a sensitivity toothpaste can be very effective in treating sensitive teeth. Within a few weeks you may notice a decrease in sensitivity. Some acidic foods such as oranges, grapefruits and lemons, as well as tea and soda can increase tooth sensitivity, and may work against sensitivity toothpastes.

If you do not find relief by brushing gently and using desensitizing toothpaste, see your dentist. They may suggest special compounds that can be applied in-office to the roots of your tooth to reduce – possibly eliminate – the sensitivity.
